Respiratory Therapist Temp-Cardiopulmonary - M

Summary Position Summary The Registered Respiratory Therapist performs diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems of patients to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung and blood vessel disorders.
Administers respiratory care modalities and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiovascular system, under the orders and supervision of the physician.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education:
Bachelor's degree from four year college or university, or three to five years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
License/Certifications:
Current Maine State Respiratory Therapist license, Registered.
Current BLS certification.
Current Neonatal Resuscitation and ACLS certification desirable.
Experience:
See Education Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, employees, customers and/or boards of directors.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statisticalinference.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Recommended Skills Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Basic Life Support Data Collection Fact Checking Life Support Mathematics Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
