Emergency Department Tech II-Urgent Care

Position Summary Under the supervision of the ED Physician, the ED Technician II performs various duties assisting in the care of patients in accordance with the established protocol, policies and procedures of the Emergency Department and LincolnHealth. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Graduate of an accredited school of Para-medicine. Minimum of 1 year experience is desirable in Pre-hospital or Emergency Department care. Successfully passed the State of Maine Certifying Exam for C.N.A. or State of Maine Licensed EMT Intermediate or Higher.# Current Basic Life Support certification.# Current ACLS certification. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.# Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to add, subtract two digit numbers.# Ability to perform operations using units of the American money and weight measurements, volume and distance. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
