Certified Surgical Tech - Operating Room

$3,000 Sign-On Bonus Full-time positions - 35+ hours/per week Part-time positions prorated - 2--34.9 hours/per week Eligible Candidates are fgraduates of an accredited school of Surgical Technology and must hold national certifications as an Operating Room Technologist or be able to obtain within 12 months of hire. New graduates and previous LincolnHealth and MaineHealth employees with more than 3 months of separation are eligible.# Current LH and MaineHealth employees are not eligible. Position Summary Surgical Technicians are allied health professionals who are an integral part of the Surgical Services Team.# Under the supervision of a Surgeon and/or Registered Nurse, ensures a safe working environment, equipment works properly and operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.#The Surgical Technician will also be able to function in and relieve in Central Sterile Supply as needed, knowing all aspects of this area.# Participation in rotating on-call responsibilities required. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technologists.# One to two years# experience preferred, however, new graduates will be considered. Certified Surgical Technician. Current BLS. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.# Ability to compute and apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, percentages, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.# Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Affiliation with Association of Surgical Technologies preferred.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
