Clinical Supervisor - Obstetrics

Position Summary The Obstetric Nurse Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Director of Inpatient Nursing in the overall operation of the Obstetric Unit. This includes fiscal, purchasing, staffing, regulatory, administrative and clinical requirements. The OB Clinical Nurse Supervisor will communicate the importance of the LincolnHealth Mission and Vision and emphasize the importance of the employee/customer relationship to realize positive outcomes. The Obstetric Nurse Supervisor will assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Nursing. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Maine. Bachelors and/or pursuing a BSN preferred. Minimum of 3 years of obstetric experience is required, certification preferred. Prior leadership experience. Motivated, independent individual who can organize workload so that all functions are completed appropriately and demonstrates strong leadership skills. ACLS preferred. Current State of Maine Registered Nurse License. Current BLS certification, Current NRP certification. Affiliation with Maine Council of Nurse Managers - Organization of Maine Nurse Executives recommended. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, employees, customers and/or boards of directors. Required: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent. Preferred: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
